The 2 person female team aptly called 'The Salty Swallowers' successfully completed their relay on the 21st September. They swam in 14hrs and 55mins (subject to ratification) with their pilot Stuart Gleeson.

The Mexican relay team 'Fantastic 4 Mexico' successfully swam the Channel on the 20th September in 12hrs and 01min (subject to ratification). Their pilot was Andy King and observer Steve Franks. Well done to the team!

Jonathon Livemore from the British relay team 'The Southend Sharks' has been interviewed by his local radio station along with our CSA secretary Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE. Have a listen to a recording of it here. Jonathon and his team are currently waiting to swim the Channel at the moment and are raising money for cystitic fibrosis in the process. It was touching to hear that they will be placing flowers in the sea a mile from France where Susan Taylor collapsed in her memory.
We wish The Southend Sharks the best of luck for their swim.....

Congratulations to Jean-Luc Piens who successfully swam the English Channel on the 12th September in 14hrs and 01min (subject to verification). He landed on the sand beach approximately a mile north east of Wissant at 17.01hrs. He is reportedly the 16th Belgian to complete the English Channel swim and was cheered on into his landing by friends and family waiting on the beach before being interviewed by his local Belgian television station.

The Australian Nick Owen successfully completed his Channel solo swim on the 12th September in 11hrs and 36mins (subject to verification). His pilot was Peter Reed and observer Andy Pope. Well done to Nick!

The New Zealand swimmer Kim Chambers successfully completed her solo swim with pilot Andy King and observer Steve Franks. She swam in a brilliant time of 12hrs and 12mins (subject to verification) on the 12th September. Congratulations to Kim!

CSA DinnerWednesday, 11 September 2013
Don't forget to book your place for the CSA dinner on the 2nd November at 6.30pm. It is held at the Dover Town Hall and is where all our swimmers congregate to celebrate all their hard work and success in following their dreams. As there has been demand, the gold lapel pins will also be given out at the dinner with vellums as a memento of your swim.
