Ella Dunn (British) undertook her solo Channel venture on the 4th August. Her pilot was Eric Hartley and observer Keith Oiller. After a fantastic swim she reached France in a time of 14hrs 05mins (subject to verification). Congratulations Ella!

 

Charley and The Old Speedo's

On the 1st August, the British relay team Charley and The Old Speedo's (6 person) began their Channel venture. Their pilot was Eric Hartley and observer Keith Oiller. After 12hrs and 15mins (subject to verification) they successfully reached France. Well done guys.....

To add to this dad jonathon did a solo channel swim in 2010 in 15hrs 27mins. Daughter Charley was on the boat with dad and said that she wanted to do a Channel swim. 3 years later at the age of 12 years and 16 days she accomplished her goal! She really swam well for her 2 legs and during her second leg it was recorded to be 12 kt SE (head) wind with 2 ft waves with occassional breaking crests. Quite an achievement for a 12 year old! Well done Charley and team!

 

Okanagan Lake Monsters

On 4th August the 5 person Canadian relay team Okanagan Lake Monsters, set off on their Channel swim with their pilot Andy King and observer Steve Franks. After 13hrs 41mins (subject to verification), they reached french soil. Congratulations to the whole team!

 

Scotland Swim Training Camp a Big Success

Between the 11th and 15th July, swimmers from all over the world attended a 4 day swim camp in Scotland. It was run by two of our CSA approved swim coaches Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE and Chris Sifleet. It was such a huge 'hit' for the swimmers that this is going to be an annual event. Have a look at what swimmers have been saying.

 

Oundle Channel Swim Dream Team

The four person British relay team 'Oundle Channel Swim Dream Team' reached french shores on the 27th July in a great time of 15hrs and 22mins. Their pilot was Stuart Gleeson and observer Giovanna Richards. Well done guys...

 

It's Kits Fault

On 24th July the six person relay team 'It's kits Fault' reached France in a time of 17hrs and 41mins. Their pilot was Stuart Gleeson and observer Steve Franks. Congratulations to you all.....

Another Turkish relay also swam on the 27th July in a time of 14hrs 33mins. Their pilot was Fred Mardle and observer Peter Marshall. Well done guys!

The Turkish relay, 'Brave White Turks' swam the Channel on the 27th July in a time of 15hrs and 10mins. Their pilot was Kevin Sherman and observer Peter Wood. Well done on a brilliant swim!

Red Top Cosmos

The British 4 person relay Red Top Cosmos began their Channel journey on the 17th July. After 11hrs and 29mins (provisional) they landed in France. Their pilot was Reg Brickell and observer Mikee Phillips. Well done guys....
