It is with deepest regret that we learn of the passing of David Frantzeskou. David and Evelyn Frantzeskou, ran a small secluded family-run award-winning holiday park in Folkestone, England.
Varne Ridge Holiday Park sits near the cliffs with panoramic views over the English Channel stretching out towards the coastline of France. Those views have long welcomed channel swimmers from around the the world who gather to test themselves in the open water world's most well-known stretch of water.
David was known by many if not all Channel swimmers and was frequently called their 'swimming Dad'. He supported them day and night as did Evelyn. He will be sorely missed by the community and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. There will a celebration of David's life on Friday 2nd March at 12pm.
