It is with great sadness that I and all the directors of the CSA, have to announce the passing of our honorary life member Jeanne Read. Jeanne was the silent lady behind our CSA President. Michael P Read. MBE
I never heard Jeanne complaining that Michael was out and always busy working for our organisation both as a swimmer, Director, Chairman (in later years) and currently the President. When you arrived at their house Jeanne was always there to welcome and treat you as one of her own.
Jeanne was the first to support our Association and give advice on updating some of the Association’s old fashioned historical oddities. We will miss her greatly.
